Golfing The Gem State

Elkhorn Golf Club • Sun Valley, ID

Yardage: 6,890
# of Holes: 18
Par: 71
Walk/Cart: Both

A Robert Trent Jones Sr./Robert Trent Jones Jr. designed 18-hole championship golf course is the jewel of the Club. Opened originally in 1974, this great course represents one of the last collaborations by this renowned
father-son team. Situated on 280 acres along the base of Dollar Mountain in Sun Valley, Idaho, the front nine is best known for its elevated tees, dramatic mountain vistas and rolling fairways. The back nine does not contain the elevation changes of the front, but don't let this fool you into thinking it is any easier.

You will quickly notice water features on eight of the nine holes as you play along and over ponds, wetlands and Elkhorn Creek. Elkhorn Golf Club also has a new home—a beautiful 16,000-square-foot facility houses the golf shop, dining room, men and women's locker rooms, administrative offices, golf club/cart storage and a drive-up snack bar.

Whether you are shopping in our fully-stocked golf shop, enjoying lunch in the dining room or sharing a drink following your round on the Terrace, the staff at Elkhorn will ensure that your experience is truly pleasurable.

Teton Reserve • Victor, ID

Yardage: 7,426
# of Holes: 18
Par: 71
Walk/Cart: Cart Only

Teton Reserve is a subtle masterpiece situated at the base of the Tetons near Victor, Idaho. Designed by two-time United States Open Champion, Hale Irwin, the Reserve will test all of your golf skills. Featuring excellent bunkering, outstanding conditions and a specially developed grass called Teton Blue, the course fits beautifully and naturally into its surroundings. But beneath its good looks, the 7,426-yard, par-72 layout has real teeth, challenging mind and body as you navigate its wonderfully crafted fairways.

Strategic elevation changes add to the interest on several holes, particularly on hole 15, a long dogleg par 4, requiring a driver and three-wood for most players to reach an elevated green surrounded by bunkers. The course also features a 400-yard double-ended practice range with multiple targets and plenty of hitting stations.

Teton Reserve is part of the new Eastern Loop of the Idaho Golf Trail with Headwaters at Teton Springs and Pinecrest in Idaho Falls. Golf packages are available, and the Reserve is open to the public, offering attractive rates for both locals and visitors.

Just 25 minutes from Jackson Hole, Teton Reserve is definitely a gem worth discovering. Estimated opening date: May 1st.
